This one is pure fluff and I loved it for that. ChloΓ«, navigator of a Terran warship, surrenders when the Affini board, rather then follow her captain's suicidal orders.
This of course, immediately gets her assigned an Affini guide, Clover, to see how well she can adapt to the Compact. Honestly, ChloΓ« does pretty great. The Compact is the safe place she's dreamed of, even if her traumatized brain keeps expecting otherwise.
Though maybe Clover can help her heal? Also will Clover heal from her trauma involving a previous floret??
